I am working on eggs research; I randomly talked to my friend (a biology Professor) about the project one day. And he recommends I do the research about egg anthropology.
I got some interesting findings during my research.
1. Chicks can't be helped to burst out of their eggshells
As the chicks struggle to get out of their shells, their bodies continue to fill with blood and proliferate. If you help them peel off their eggs, even if they manage to break out, they will be weaker without struggling to get out of their shells.
2. Can egg communicate with hens?
Thoughts, the scientists' recorders have shown that eggs communicate with their mothers during incubation. First, the hen hears the chicks' twittering and cooing in response. Then, after a few hours, the chicks break out of their shells.
What is the purpose of the communication between mother and chicks? It turns out that the mother's affectionate calls to her chicks make them feel safe inside the eggshells. This stimulates and regulates the development of the chicks, allowing them to be born at the same time.
3. What looks like a fragile eggshell is actually a nanostructure with a highly high-tech interior
The eggshell contains a complex nanostructure which plays a significant role.
The broken eggshells we see in everyday life are often accompanied by sawtooth cracks. This is because scientists have found that the eggs' proteins affect the crystallisation of calcium carbonate. So, although the surface of the eggshell looks neatly aligned from a macroscopic viewpoint. This is because all the crystals are visible in the microscopic world. However, in the microscopic world, the crystals that form actually contain a lot of protein. These proteins make the shell more brittle, so the cracks in the shell are jagged.
Thought
I think it is interesting to see the relationship between the eggshell and the chick from the above three points. We should not help escape the eggshell by an outside party, just like the mother and the child. If the mother helped with everything, the children would develop deficiencies due to their lack of experience. It affects the physical and mental development of children.
But the mother is there to support and watch over her chicks, giving them the security they need to get out of the eggshell. Like our family, our support gives us the best protection and love as we grow up.
The egg cereal is like a human's protection, rigid but fragile. A mother may be too weak to do what she wants, but in the end, she will do what she has to do with a strong attitude. After all, this is her first time as a mother, and she may not have the experience to take care of a child, but they all do what they can to make it work.
