Eggs stay fresh in the fridge for three weeks. However, if the eggs are mixed with paint and painted on a wooden board, they will last for 2000 years.
Eggs have been around for a long time in the history of art, although whoever brought them into the history of art is unknown to us. Some say Egyptian, as mummy portraits from the early centuries include eggs; others say ancient Greek Romans, as the earliest surviving references to their use appear in the texts of the ancient Romans, Vitruvius and Pliny.
So I tried to use eggshells to make handmade paper. Before I make the paper I have a lot of different question about making egg shell (following) paper.
why egg shell paper?
There is a scientific study on eggshells that states "From the moment of an egg being laid, the calcium carbonate of the shell is re-absorbed into the bone of the developing This gives me a feeling of ashes on these eggshells, so I want to break them up and give them a new lease of life, turning the eggshell into the papers' bones.
How to make egg shell paper?
I find out there are a lot of youtube video teaching how to make the paper.
Can the paper only make with egg?
no, it need add some paper in.
What is the different of egg shell paper?
The egg shell have membrane, the membrane will make the paper get mouldy. So, I take off the membrane from the eggshell one by one, it cost me a lot of time.
When I put the egg shells into the blender, they turn into very small pieces and the paper does not manage to get all the small eggshell into the paper, so the egg shells keep falling off to my home floor :(

How can I use the egg shell paper?
- I plan to use it for printing a book. But I have no idea what will the book be (1/2/2022)
- I can also try to do polaroid transfers to these paper.
