I did a interview with polly chan, she is a owner of a neon light workshop in Hong Kong, and she also exhibition in the K11. She did a instagram chat with me for a interview.

This is so chat record with her.

As Polly Chan is a handmade neon artist and shop owner, exposure and growth of IG Followers are important for her. She thinks there were not many followers added and did not have a significant growth during the exhibition period. Not many people come to her workshops after the exhibition.

She mentioned that when the curators invited them, they stated that it was an exhibition and then the K11 officials avoided it and declared the exhibition a cultural festival, Polly felt was disrespectful to her and bummed that the wording was changed at a later stage so that they had to be happy with it. She also mentioned, in general, there are many people taking pictures and that the artists wanted the audience to use the viewer’s social media as promotional mediums, but the actual results were much less than expected.
