當我在fine art 的課程中，到底我要當自己要一個設計師還是一個藝術家呢？或這樣說，到底設計師和藝術家這兩個職業在同一個靈魂中可否共存？我在試著努力去成為一個我想成為的人，今天我想問自己幾個問題；第一，為什麼要讀fine art?
When I am in the fine art course, should I be a designer or an artist? Or put it this way, can the two professions of designer and artist coexist in the same soul? I'm trying to be the person I want to be. Therefore, today I want to ask myself a few questions; first, why do I studying in fine art?
我在做的行業的廣告，在香港的廣告我一直覺得有幾個問題存在，而其中一個最大的問題是 在香港的廣告藝術性不高，到底在廣告行業中的商業性和藝術性可不可以取得一個更好的平衡呢？我希望到我學有所成的一天可以 貢獻給廣告行業，令商業性 這麼濃厚的行業可以增加在藝術方面的可塑性。 而且，在一個城市裏，廣告充斥着整個城市，廣告在不同的地鐵巴士站都有很多，而且廣告是有一個大成本投資的，廣告有很充裕的資金， 這些充裕的資金能製造出很多既有商業價值又有藝術性的作品和宣傳物品。 我認為只要城市內有大量美好的廣告，在長期的進步下，城市內整體人們對藝術的追求和品味亦會提升。這就是我想讀fine art的原因。
I’ve been working on advertising in the industry. I have always felt that there are several problems with advertising in Hong Kong. One of the biggest problems is that advertising in Hong Kong is not very artistic. Can I get a commercial and artistic quality in the advertising industry? What about a better balance? I hope that one day I can contribute to the advertising industry, so that an industry with such a strong commercial nature can increase its plasticity in art. Moreover, in a city, advertisements are flooding the whole city, and there are many advertisements in different subway and bus stations, and advertisements have a large cost investment, and advertisements have abundant funds. These abundant funds can create a lot of problems. Commercially valuable and artistic works and promotional materials. I think that as long as there are a large number of beautiful advertisements in the city, with long-term progress, the overall pursuit and taste of art in the city will also increase. This is why I want to read fine art.
